To submit a learner application for correctional services The Department of Correctional Services website has the Application Forms for Admission to a Learnership in DCS, which you may download or pick up from any Correctional Services Office.The Forms Tab on the e-DCS website is www.dcs.gov.za.
Once on the website, look for the “Forms” link at the top or bottom and click on it. After that, select the link for the internship/learnership application forms.
The Learnership Application Form will download to your computer automatically when you click on the link. Increase your leadership There is a list of available mentorships on careers23.co.za.
When submitting your application, be careful to include which learnership position you are applying for (e.g., DCS Corrections Service Learnership: Gauteng Region: Leeuwkop (Ref GP02)).
Make sure the application is signed by you.

Provide certified copies of your diplomas and identification documents (certified copies must be current; you can be certified at any police station).
Late or unsigned application forms will not be accepted.
No photocopies of the forms will be accepted.
Forms sent via email or fax won’t be accepted.
Remember that while doing workplace training, you will be responsible for paying for your own accommodations, transportation, and food. It is therefore recommended that you apply for a learnership in the Management Area or Region closest to your place of residence.
Completed Correctional Services Learnership application forms and any necessary supporting papers can be mailed (send at the post office) or delivered in person to the Regional Commissioner at the Management Office nearest your residence. You can download it on their website, www.dcs.gov.za, as well. Please be aware that using the forms is free of charge. Use your own handwriting to complete the application. Make sure you fill out the form completely and sign it, and be precise about the position you’re seeking for. Moreover, enclose copies of any required documentation.
These consist of your identity document (ID), certified copies of your high school diploma or its equivalent, and, in the event that the applicant is not the property owner, a recent, no more than three-month-old affidavit from the owner.
Since you will be responsible for covering your own travel and accommodations during your experience learning, it is advised that you apply at the location nearest to your home. You will get information from the correctional services, including the learnership reference number and admittance letter, after you are selected.
