Through structured training that includes both academic and practical components, these learnerships give candidates the skills they need to work for the South African Police Service (SAPS).
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the SAPS learnership program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- Have no criminal record
- Be physically and medically fit
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply for a SAPS learnership:
- Check for Available Learnerships
- SAPS learnerships are advertised on the SAPS official website and in national newspapers.
- Visit the SAPS careers portal: www.saps.gov.za to check for open applications.
- Download and Complete the Application Form
- Download the official SAPS learnership application form here.
- Fill out the form accurately and attach all required documents, including:
- A certified copy of your ID
- A certified copy of your Grade 12 certificate
- Proof of residence
Applications must be submitted to the SAPS Provincial or District office where you reside.
