As an Inventory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our inventory operations. Your role will include:

Supervising and coordinating the activities of the inventory team.

Ensuring accurate inventory records and conducting regular audits.

Managing inventory levels to meet production and sales demands. Implementing and maintaining inventory control systems.

*Purpose of the Job**:

**Job Objectives**:

**Work planning, work allocation, objective setting and prioritising**

– Coordinate processes, equipment and resources to plan for uninterrupted production of orders to supply according to the demand schedule.

– Identify and minimize risk to the organization.

– Monitor reports and monitor variances within the stock control department.

– Monitor and adjust work schedules according to operational requirements.

– Monitor current operational requirements and trends to forecast future requirements to increase productivity.

– Developing and implementing stock control procedures and policies

– Conducting regular stock audits and overseeing the stock coming in and out of the department

– Ensure to barcode all products to ensure proper identification and tracking throughout the stock control process.

– Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

– Monitor stock levels closely and initiate timely stock ordering to prevent stockouts and maintain optimal inventory levels.

– Collaborate with other departments, such as production, to ensure efficient stock movement and availability.

– Inspect incoming stock to verify the accuracy of deliveries, ensuring it matches the corresponding purchase orders and is in good condition.

– Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping of stock transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.

– Developing and implementing effective stock control procedures and policies.

– Overseeing the company’s inventory management system.

– Collaborate with buying and production teams to forecast stock requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels.

– Manage and maintain all health and safety requirements within the operational environment.

– Support in the development and maintenance of all standard operating procedures.

– Monitor and maintain housekeeping within the warehouse.

– Support the hiring and training of new employees.

– Matric qualification

– Supply Chain Logistics/Management qualification

**Experience**:

**Essential**

– 3+ years of relevant stock management and planning experience in a warehouse environment.

– 2-3 years of experience working as a supervisor and/or manager.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

– Highly effective managerial skills and techniques.

– Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and produce reports.

– Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.

– Develops fresh ideas that provide solutions to all types of workplace challenges.

– Advanced computer skills pertaining to the use of inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

– Strong ability to multitask, resolve complex problems and perform consistently under pressure, and work without supervision
