Requirements
- Appropriate NQF Level 2 qualification / ABET certificate.
- Competencies:
- Basic numeracy and literacy.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Knowledge of various cleaning consumables and operation of cleaning equipment.
- Basic understanding of health and safety requirements and correct use of cleaning chemicals.
Duties
- Maintain general cleanliness of offices, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms.
- Dust and wax office furniture, sweep, scrub, and wax floors.
- Ensure daily removal of waste inside and outside the building.
- Perform other cleaning-related duties as allocated by the supervisor.
- Conduct routine cleaning services using aids such as dusters, brooms, vacuum cleaners, and polishers to maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty dustbins, wash crockery and cutlery, and dust office furniture.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and polish floors, and clean windows and walls.
- Keep toilets clean and tidy, replace toilet rolls, soaps, hand towels, and air fresheners.
- Report broken equipment (microwaves, vacuum cleaners, etc.) to the supervisor.
