The payouts for SRD reconsiderations have recently begun, according to SASSA. On June 15th, 2022, this was published on Sassa’s social media channels. Sassa recently said that SRD payments will be completed by mid-June. The SRD reconsideration payments (Rcon Sassa R350) have now been announced, but not the remaining recipients.
Money for SRD Reconsideration are being made.
“The COVID19 SRD grant reconsideration payments are currently underway!” the agency captioned their tweet.
The complete statement is as follows: “From August 2021, SASSA has been addressing the complex problem of reconsideration. The procedure is now complete, and this week, individuals who are eligible will begin getting their rewards. Beneficiaries are also urged by the letter to review their bank notifications.
Pick up at Authorized Stores
Do not go to the Post Office to pick up your SRD award, Sassa further advised. Utilize a Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer, or USave authorized retail location.
Appeal Procedure
The SRD grant’s appeal or reconsideration procedure gives applicants who have been refused a second chance to be assessed or taken into consideration for the award.
Sassa previously said that appeals filed after August 2021 and successful applications for reconsideration will be resolved by the end of June 2022. Beneficiaries who had their reconsideration applications approved would get compensation.

Sassa added that rewards for those successful reconsideration applicants will be made following the processing of the petitions. Reconsiderations originating in August 2021 are anticipated to be handled by the end of June 2022, and compensation will follow.

How can I file an appeal or request SRD reconsiderations?
If your SRD appeal has been denied, there are two methods to file one:

Visit the SRD Website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za
Locate the “Application for Reconsideration” tab as the first step.
Step 2: Choose the “click here to submit a request for reconsideration” link.
Step 3: Your ID number and mobile phone will be requested.
Step 4: Complete the instructions to finish the payment reconsideration.

Step 1: Call 0800 60 10 11 to reach Sassa.
Step 2: Choose option 3
Step 3: Talk with the Sassa consultant to submit your request for a reconsideration.
